Our First 'Proper' Rehearsal Since Lockdown Began

A lucky 30 choir members - 28 singers, plus our Musical Director and Accompanist - met on June 28th to rehearse in a marquee at The Poppleton Centre. Wearing our singers' masks, which were kindly made for us by our good friend Judy Holmes (Ryedale Voices), we still managed to sing some old choir favourites with gusto!

It was fantastic to hear everyone signing together again and those who were unable to attend, because of government restrictions which limits outdoor gatherings to 30, still participated via Zoom.

Although it rained during the rehearsal, nothing could dampen the sheer joy and enthusiasm of all those present.

We now look forward to doing it all again next Monday!
